Are Doctors Required to Make Determinations About Appropriate Dosage?

No, doctors are not required to make determinations about appropriate dosages. The Medical Use of Marijuana Program already has regulations limiting rules a patient’s allowable supply. The physician’s responsibility is to determine whether or not you qualify for a medical marijuana recommendation on a patient-by-patient basis. At NEA, our friendly staff will assist patients understanding product differences/characteristics and dosages. There are occassional exceptions,  in which a physician may determine that a patient needs more than the allowable supply.
